Frictionless Trade – UK ambitions
Reading the Govt’s advice on road haulage movements to and from the EU post-Brexit and the overwhelming desire from Us would appear to be for all movements to take place with a little friction as possible.
The obvious proviso overriding all is ‘Unless we leave without a deal’ and even in that event our government, in the Haulage Permits and Trailer Registration Act 2018 is committed to the ambition and practice of frictionless trade.
The act also provides an assurance not to introduce any permitting system for Northern Irish Hauliers moving goods to and from the Republic without the consent of the Irish government
We would encourage you to take a look at the government advice and to contact either the RHA or FTA for further guidance
